Good morning, Shu.  Thank you for the message.  I also enjoy chasing
islands.  And I am happy to confirm NA-058.

My equipment is an FT-950 at 90 watts and I use a poor antenna system ... a flagpole 3.5 meters high and an inverted L antenna only 4 meters high and 13 meters long.  It is a poor antenna system and I often cannot hear JA stations very well.  I have had best luck for JA on 17 meters when it is open.  I work almost entirely CW but can also work SSB and PSK31.

For the IOTA contest, I plan to use a temporary antenna that will make my signal in Japan stronger ... I hope!!  I will be using 20 and 15 meters if the bands have good propagation.  Otherwise I will be on 40 and 80 meters.
Listen for me.  I only worked one JA station in last years IOTA contest on 40 meters.
