OC-194 South Solitary Island trip

あと１１日に迫ってきました。OC-194 Solitary Islandへの旅がまもなく始まります。ヘリコプター会社よりメールが届きました。Bill/VK4FWへお願いしてみましたが、コスト的に合いませんでした。ペリコプター会社へIOTAの意義を説明して、理解を求めてみたいと思います。世界中のIOTA　chaserに協力をいただいてOC-194からのペディションを実現したいですね。QueenslandのCoffという町まで行けば、そこからヘリコプターでひとっ飛びです。コスト的にはJAからでもいけますが、問題は滞在時間の限定です。ここが解決できれば素晴らしいIOTAペディションが実現します。しかし、短時間の運用も現実には可能です。

Only 11 days until our visit to South Solitary Island.  There are still some seats left for the first weekend available.

Remember – Saturday 24^th and Sunday 25^th tours include:

Helicopter flights
Tour inside the cottages
Tour inside the Lighthouse (we have a representative coming from the Australian Maritime Safety Authority in Canberra)
Bonus – you will get to meet past residents of the island.  Talk to people who once lived on the island, they will be on your tour on the island.

1 hour Tour - $320.00
2 Hour Tour - $490.00

Tours will be in groups of 4 or 8 people

Saturday 31^st and Sunday 1^st August – one hour tours only this weekend with no access inside the Lighthouse - $250.00

Thankyou to those that have booked!  Your tour times will be allocated to you over this weekend (if not before).

Remember – part proceeds of tickets go into a Heritage and Maintenance Fund just for South Solitary Island.  Your visitation will contribute to saving the buildings.

It will be a long time until the island is open again – do not miss out!

See you on the island!  (Lots of whales in the area at the moment!)
