OC-213 YB8RW/P & YB8OUN/P Togian Islands by W2FB report

この朝にW2FB Steveによる表題のOC-213に関するレポートがIOTA-chasers Forumに掲載されましたので転載します。本日午後からのOC-213のチェイシングにご利用ください。

After a successful Obi IOTA expedition, YB8RW Din will team up with YBOUN also Din and operate from Batudaka Island OC213. For those chasing Indonesian Islands this is very exciting because this island is going to be on the air for the first time. Previous operations from OC213 (YE8T, YB5NOF/8 and YB8NA/P) took place from Togian Island.

The Din Team started their journey on Sept 24 from Bitung to Gorontalo by car a 14 hour ride. Then from Gorontalo they boarded a ferry to Togian Island on Sept 26 and will arrive Sept 27 early morning local time (in a few hours from the writing of this msg).

They will continue their journey with a speedboat to Batudaka Island 3 hours later and if all goes well will start QRV Sept 27 afternoon local time (04-06Z). They will QRT Oct 2 around 04Z or earlier, because the ferry from Togian leaves at 07Z.

Good luck and happy hunting. Propagation time should be very similar to DX8DX.

要点のみ、本日午後から開始されますOC-213 YB8RW/PにはYB8RWは９月24日に出発しています。彼等の集合場所であるBitungからバスでGorontaroへ移動し、そこから船でBatudaka Islandへ移動します。このYB8RW Dinさんの意欲と使命感は一体何でしょう。

Nusantara Awardを通して、世界中の多くのIsland chaserに呼ばれることでしょうね。

私の場合、アパマンアンテナでの運用におきましてIOTAのみのチェイシングが年あたり数件の状況に陥っています。ハムライフを楽しむということにおいて電波の飛び具合も大きく影響していますが、郵便事情の悪い、回収コストの少々高いYB-IOTAはそれらを超える魅力を感じています。

現実に現在OC-157 YB8VのQSL回収にチャレンジしていますが、QSLが発行されなければ、新しい発行先の調整、さらには新しいペディション企画への支援と進んでいます。W2FBのメッセージにもYB9BUから回収するよりYB8RWからという一言もあります。

積極的に彼らの企画にこたえてあげたいものですね。交信するだけでQSL請求をしない局が多いようです。彼らの意欲を削ぐことになりますので、ぜひご考慮ください。
